Current Research:
•Nonlinear optical phenomena such as four-wave mixing (FWM) and cross-phase modulation (XPM) in an optical fiber and its application to measurement of fiber parameters
•Supercontinuum (SC) spectrum generation in a tapered fiber with small waist diameters and a dispersion-flattened / dispersion-decreasing fiber with low birefringence
•Fabrication of a fiber Bragg grating coupler (FGC) and the experiment of all-optical switching, optical sensing and acousto-optic interaction in a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and FGC
•Nonlinear optical measurements of a directional fiber coupler using an optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser as ultra-short optical source
•Distributed chromatic dispersion measurement in optical fibers and concatenated optical transmission systems for fiber dispersion management by a bidirectional optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR)
