Dr. Brian DeMarco has bought two Ti:Sapphire lasers (TIS-SF-07 + TIS-SF-077) in 2005.

The DeMarco group is currently setting up an experiment to realize quantum simulation (QS) of quantum magnetism using trapped, ultra-cold atoms. Particularly relevant journal articles are quant-ph/0207011, Feynmann's original paper conjecturing quantum simulation, and Science 273, 1073 (1996). There is a brief list of bibliographical highlights on QS of quantum magnetism using ultra-cold atoms located at this link.
